01 A new beginning
Year one
Steven and Shakti bought this land in 2025. It is dry, and parts of it are tired. We are starting to bring it back.
The plan is simple to say and slow to do: bring the water locked in the ground back up, plant trees, and build dry stone walls that shelter the trees and give frogs, lizards and birds a home. The courses build the walls. The sessions and the gifts pay for the rest.
Nothing here is shown as further along than it is. The first thing to happen was the lake.

The land and the work on it are told through five elements.
Fire
The heat of the Alentejo summer.

The two kinds of work
